A Chilling Day Out

The Canal Museum at the Ice Harbour in Kings Cross hosted this weeks students for the trip down a watery memory lane.  Housed in a former ice warehouse built in 1862 for Carlo Gatti, a famous ice cream maker, the museum staff showed pupils how to make their own ice cream, inspired by the Victorian recipes of the day.  

A trip to the sweet shop put a smile on lots of faces, too...
