Knebworth, The Wallace Collection and Heath Robinson Museum

Wednesday saw our students travel to their first academic workshops.

Knebworth House, former seat of the Earl of Lytton, Viscount Knebworth, hosted a lesson in gothic writing.  Our pupils explored the magnificent interior and grounds of the historic venue before putting pen to paper and creating their own spooky stories inspired by the Tudor Gothic architecture and haunting contents of the house.

The Wallace Collection is home to unsurpassed masterpieces of painting, sculpture, furniture, arms and armour, and porcelain. The workshop centred on Design, Form and Function for the STEM and ISP groups.

Heath Robinson Museum is dedicated to showcasing the work of the world-renowned artist, illustrator, humorist and social commentator, William Heath Robinson.  Students were inspired by the legendary inventor to make their own wacky inventions.
