Harry Potter and the Hertford Haileyburians

Harry Potter World opened its magical doors to the Haileybury International Summer School pupils on Sunday.  They stepped of a very ordinary coach and encountered the fantastic world of Harry Potter and his world of wizards.  From Private Drive to the Diagon Alley via Platform 9 & 3/4 and the Hogwart's Express, our pupils sipped Butter Beer, visited Gringotts Wizarding Bank, ate Bertie Bott's Flavoured Beans (watch out for the vomit flavour!) and had a tour of the sets and props used in the spellbinding series of films.

The new recruits gathered in Haileybury's beautiful central quad to play games, sport and mingle with new friends from around the world as the second course of Haileybury International Summer School 2024 commenced. As they entered through the archway of the Form block, things got off to a colourful start as our students had a lesson in graffiti art from professional artist, Mark Peachey.

Oxford - A Fountain of Knowledge and Shopping!

On Wednesday our pupils took a tour around the architectural gems of the world-famous university city of Oxford.  Their walking tour took in the sights and secrets of  Britain's oldest seat of learning, lead by a college undergraduate.   Later in the afternoon they had some time to visit Oxford's shops for some retail therapy!
