Action-packed First Full Week at Summer School

What an amazing first week of Summer School!  The pupils have enjoyed lessons about Shakespeare, cartoons, the use of DNA in crime-solving and Brunel’s incredible bridges.  In the afternoons, some pupils developed their football, tennis and hockey skills, while others learnt the art of baking with our very own pastry chef.  We visited Cambridge where everyone experienced a ride on a traditional punt.  In London, some pupils met Brunel, others redesigned classic branding for today’s markets and others solved a CSI crime at the Royal Institution.  During the evenings, we tried zorbing, had a BBQ and silent disco in the beautiful woods around Haileybury and relaxed at the outdoor cinema – everyone loves a James Bond film.
