Meet the Artist at the Fitzwilliam

A group of our Spring School pupils were lucky enough to meet Jake Garfield, the artist who produced  'Jacob's Room' on display at the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge this week.  

Amongst the works of art on show in this wonderful, eclectic collection, Jake's woodcut print featured a number of different famous men named Jake from around the world.  It was a special insight into the artist's inspiration and our pupils were delighted to meet him and ask some questions about his work (in English, of course!). 



The pupils took a tour around the beautiful city of Cambridge, and no visit would be complete without a a punt along the river Cam.

Oxford - A Fountain of Knowledge and Shopping!

On Wednesday our pupils took a tour around the architectural gems of the world-famous university city of Oxford.  Their walking tour took in the sights and secrets of  Britain's oldest seat of learning, lead by a college undergraduate.   Later in the afternoon they had some time to visit Oxford's shops for some retail therapy!
