Scientific Discoveries - uncovering the mysteries of an owl's dinner and salty science

The STEM  Project class began a detective journey of their own, as they sought to discover the contents of owl pellets.  The undigested bones of frogs, voles and mice were uncovered, revealing what the owls had eaten for breakfast, lunch and dinner!  The pupils reconstructed the skeletons complete with tails, teeth and tiny skulls.










This week's STEM scientists were tasked with finding out the iodine content of various types of salt.

Oxford - A Fountain of Knowledge and Shopping!

On Wednesday our pupils took a tour around the architectural gems of the world-famous university city of Oxford.  Their walking tour took in the sights and secrets of  Britain's oldest seat of learning, lead by a college undergraduate.   Later in the afternoon they had some time to visit Oxford's shops for some retail therapy!
